The computer keyboard has been around since… well since computers have been around.
However, it hasn’t seemed to evolve much and I’m sure there are many keys we can do without. So the challenge I’ve set is to identify all the keys which are redundant and design a superior keyboard.
The methodology is simple. Remove a key and use the keyboard as normal for a week. If there has been no need to use that key, then it is removed from the new design permanently.
I’ve started with removing the Alt GR key which sits to the right of the space bar.
Let’s see what we end up with. Send in your suggestions or pictures too.
